MD Helicopters announces leadership change and extra support
The manufacturer has appointed Ryan Weeks as its new President
Ryan Weeks has been promoted to President of MD Helicopters (MDH) and will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations. Brad Pedersen will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer working on strategic initiatives with the Board of Directors.
Ed Dolanski, Board Chairman at MDH, commented: “MDH continues to be deeply committed to strengthening our support for our customers around the world … In a short two years, Ryan and Brad have drastically improved our aftermarket operations and we aim to continue to ensure the fielded fleet is the strongest it’s ever been.”
Over the past two years MDH has supported its fielded fleet with increases in spares volume, repair and overhaul volume, and timely aircraft on ground shipments. It continues to develop its spare parts inventory-health and said that it is committed to achieving a 95% fulfillment rate from order placement to shipment within 48 hours on the top 1,000-part numbers.
Weeks, who previously held the position of Vice President, Aftermarket Service and Support, concluded: “I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon the improvements we made under Brad’s leadership over the past 21 months. We still have a lot of room for improvement, but our network and operators are saying MDH is making progress.”
MDH recently welcomed the addition of a new Thoroughbred Aviation Authorized Service Center (ASC) located in Georgetown, Texas.
