Hiker rescued from Arthur’s Seat

Just after 18:00 hrs on 1 May, UK Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting that a walker had fallen at Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano and popular walking spot in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Just after 18:00 hrs on 1 May, UK Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting that a walker had fallen at Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano and popular walking spot in Edinburgh, Scotland. The walker had sustained a broken leg and was in an inaccessible location. The UK Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Inverness was sent to the area and airlifted the casualty to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
