Spectrum Aeromed partners with Uniflight on AW119 interiors
Installation on multiple AW119Kxi interiors for HEMS flight programs is expected to begin in January 2022
Spectrum Aeromed and Uniflight Global will be providing a fully-dedicated and STC-certified cabin interior for the Leonardo AW119Kxi helicopter for use in HEMS missions.
Key features of the interior will include a 10 litre LOX oxygen supply, patient pivot loading system from the left side, two forward-facing medical attendant seats and one aft-facing medical seat, medical mounting options on the ceiling and back wall, and valence panels for all radios, controls, and outlets.
The project will support US HEMS operators Life Link III, in Minnesota, and Mercy Flight, based in New York. All six custom interiors are expected to be completed in 2022.
Ray Weiser, Vice President of Sales for Uniflight, commented: “We are delighted to once again partner with Spectrum Aeromed and their turnkey interior solutions for EMS operators. The next six completions were an easy sell – the operators came to us asking for a Spectrum Aeromed solution.”
Spectrum Aeromed recently announced a new line of air medical solutions that enable quicker transition time.
