Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance announce new CEO
Richard Corbett will take the role as the new CEO of the UK-based air ambulance
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has announced Richard Corbett as the charity air ambulance’s new CEO as of 1 September 2021. He will take the role from current Acting CEO Sherie Williams Ellen, who will resume her usual duties as Deputy CEO.
Corbett has extensive experience in the charity sector, including most recently as Humanitarian Lead at Oxfam GB and Care International UK, supporting responses to international events around the world.
Corbett commented: “I have watched and admired the life-saving role of air ambulance charities for many years, particularly during the Coronavirus pandemic. It is, therefore, a real honour to be asked to lead Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
“I am looking forward to working with the team and engaging with the community that support us so well.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has experienced a similar increase in demand for its services and support, and in April 2021 completed its 10,000th helicopter mission.
