REISER H145 D3 simulator receives Luftfartstilsynet approval
REISER Simulation and Training has secured a Level D qualification for its Airbus H145 D3 full flight simulator (FFS)
The qualification was awarded by the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfartstilsynet) at the Norwegian Competence Centre Helicopter (NCCH) in Stavanger, Norway, on 15 February 2024.
REISER stated that its Airbus H145 D3 FFS simulates all “significant enhancements” offered by the D3 itself, including the “five-bladed main rotor subsystem and Helionix avionics suite version 8.0”.
The FFS is reportedly the result of a “comprehensive new flight data campaign” by REISER to gather data “directly from the real helicopter”.
Dr Michael Mayrhofer, CEO at NCCH, said: “We are delighted to provide the aviation community with a simulator that truly reflects the capabilities and advancements of the Airbus H145 D3, ultimately enhancing the safety and proficiency of helicopter pilots and crewmembers worldwide.”
The Airbus H145 D3 is a popular choice for emergency aviation operators around the world. The Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service launched operations using an H145 D3 in the US state of Minnesota earlier this month.
