Proactive protection in patient transportation
ISOVAC shared an update into its activities in the patient isolation unit marketplace, which has served to underline the importance of proactive preparedness by governments and healthcare service providers around the world
Are you seeing demand for your CAPSULS or ORCA products wane as in some countries the number of Covid-19 infections falls, or are these same countries taking the opportunity to invest in their patient transportation options?
The world market has been consistent with demand for the ISOVAC CAPSULS to date. We are also seeing demand from countries that are not in the red zone that want to be prepare for the next wave or a new variant of Covid-19. The world has learned that being reactive and not proactive with Covid-19 cost lives. With that lesson learned, having the proper PPE such as CAPSULS and ORCA that can stop the transmission of Covid-19 while protecting the front-line defenders and their assets from contamination are crucial to have within their arsenal.
Virtual events have played a great part in keeping the industry in contact with peers and colleagues throughout the pandemic; how has ISOVAC found virtual events, and are you looking forward to travelling for business again?
ISOVAC Products is a firm believer of a handshake going a long way in establishing and or maintaining business relationships. However, we have experienced a great deal of continued success and tremendous growth via virtual and social media platforms. We have kept in touch with our clients and were able to generate new clients via all social media platforms and all online video platforms. We are currently preparing to attend shows like DSEI London 2021, amongst others, that are scheduled throughout the rest of the year and into 2022. We are once again ready to interact with our existing clients and introduce ourselves to future clients.
How difficult has it been to run training courses for the first responders using your products, and what innovations have you come up with to overcome any problems you faced?
We have held training sessions with various clients throughout the world, both virtually and in person upon the clients’ request. Early in both the developmental and commercialization stages of the technologies, ISOVAC realized the importance of having to write a very detailed User’s Manual. We were able to accomplish this by listening to the end users, from military to local first responders, the end user finds it to be a very useful tool.
What role have international partnerships, such as your one with Northwall Innovation, helped to overcome problems with logistics in the past year?
Our partnership with Northwall Innovations is one of the best business relationships we could have asked for. Apart from Northwall, many of our other distributors realized the difficulties early on in the pandemic that common items were not so common anymore. Every one of our distributors helped in some shape or form to continue supplying CAPSULS globally when they were needed most. We are very grateful and glad for the team we have today.
Are the any new product innovations on the horizon for ISOVAC that you can share with AirMed&Rescue’s readers?
