New critical care education to be offered in the UK and Europe
FlightBridgeED and International Paramedic Careers Development (IPCD) are teaming up to deliver critical care education for pre-hospital providers within the UK and surrounding European and Arab nations
FlightBridgeED will provide the infrastructure, education delivery, and clinical oversight within the critical care arena for all IPCD-led critical care courses. Each critical care course offering will encompass an intensive critical care hands-on workshop, with the goal of obtaining their Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) board certification from the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC). This critical care training and FP-C board certification will help each paramedic obtain placement in the competitive air medical transport environment from companies around the globe.
Eric Bauer, President at FlightBridgeED, commented: “We are excited to announce this strategic alignment and partnership with the International Paramedic Careers Development that will drive new initiatives within critical care medicine around the globe. Paramedics play a vital role in the healthcare system, and it is important that they have access to innovative education and career development resources.”
“We at IPCD are genuinely excited about our alliance with FlightBridgeED and the delivery of the FP-C review program,” added Dr Andy Newton, Director of IPCD. “We look forward to a rich collaboration as we strive to advance the field of critical care paramedic practice in the UK and Europe. As an organization, IPCD believes that the Emergency Medical Services are an essential and fundamental component of the healthcare system as a whole and that all patients deserve high quality, safe medical care delivered by qualified EMS professionals.”
