European Rotors arrives in Cologne this November
The conference’s second iteration will be held from 8 to 10 November 2022 and has already signed up 200 companies and organizations as exhibitors
Bookings are already well ahead of 2021, and range from market heavyweights such as Airbus Helicopters, Bell, Leonardo Helicopters, and Safran Helicopter Engines, through to specialist suppliers such as Aerolite, Heli Austria and Spectrum Aeromed. The list of exhibitors is regularly updated on the event website.
The exhibition floor will feature a static display of helicopters, a drone pavilion as well as an area dedicated to smaller and emerging companies in the rotorcraft market. The trade show covers all aspects of VTOL operations, while also keeping in mind the next generation of vertical flight, with displays of electric VTOLs and other remotely-piloted or non-piloted solutions.
European Rotors also offers conferences, training and workshops. The timing of the event has been fixed around the successful European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Rotorcraft and VTOL Symposium, held by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency. The integration into European Rotors allows EASA to expand its audience by co-locating the largest rotary wing industry exhibition outside the USA.
Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and rescue are amongst the most important topics of this year’s event, and will be represented in several activities during the show. The European Helicopter Association (EHA) HEMS working group will organize a 1½ day conference programme highlighting current challenges and developments in this sector with presentations from operators, OEMs and the regulator. Additional hands-on training like daily hoist demonstrations and special courses over the new European Rotors training day on Monday – such as the use of night vision goggles (NVG) - offer all visitors from the rescue sector an unrivalled bandwidth of not-to-miss events at this year’s European Rotors. All agenda topics will be published soon on the event page.
