Airborne Technologies achieves certification as Lockheed Martin supplier for resistance welding
With this certification, ATI is now positioned as a key supplier within Lockheed Martin’s supply chain
Airborne Technologies (ATI), a subsidiary of AllClear Aerospace & Defense, has announced the official approval from Lockheed Martin as a certified supplier for resistance welding. This certification authorizes ATI to conduct spot welding on Lockheed Martin products in strict compliance with the American Welding Society’s specification and Lockheed Martin’s proprietary specification.
Anthony Grant, Vice President and General Manager of Engineered Products for AllClear, commented: “The ATI team is proud to achieve the milestone of becoming an approved Lockheed Martin resistance welding supplier.
“This certification reflects both Lockheed Martin’s and ATI’s shared commitment to quality and reliability. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Lockheed Martin, providing sustainment solutions to keep our customers’ fleets mission-ready worldwide.”
Lockheed Martin are the parent company of Sikorsky, which makes many platforms widely used in special missions, such as the Black Hawk and S-92 helicopters.
The Austrian government recently placed an order to buy 12 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from Lockheed Martin through the US government.
